Basketry is an art form that spans cultures, generations, and functions. Woven from straw, fiber, or metal, into pocket-sized or life-sized vessels or sculptures, these are the possibilities of contemporary basketry.

Using different materials, i have enjoyed weaving with these materials; bamboo, straw, iris leaves, and found the looping and knotting techniques to be very interesting and challenging.

Here are some of my hand woven pieces and finally the product i made after exploration and practice. 

Some of these straws dried out, however i feel the dried effect has its own beauty and uniqueness that i personally loved.

These were bamboo strips used hence they were more solid and don't tend to dry and change shape
